Dr. Karen Correa, PhD
1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
I am most grateful for the opportunity to become stronger and more resilient. Experiencing abuse, bullying, and homelessness has shaped the person I have become today. My experiences have allowed me to be an example for the hundreds of young ladies I have mentored over the years.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
Changing and growing every day, the one thing I’m actively working to improve is to reduce my carbon footprint. We can each do our part to care for our planet. We need nature, and now, nature needs us.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
After giving birth to my second child, he stopped breathing. He did not cry and I could not hear him breathing. As a parent, this was a terrifying feeling. Medical personnel scrambled to tend to him and I am grateful to them for saving my son’s life. So to me, the best feeling in the world was to hold my son Roman and hear his first cry.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
As a teenager, you never realize the love of a parent until you become one. Unfortunately, I learned about my mother’s unconditional love for me after her passing. My first child was born six months later, and it was then that the realization of her unconditional love manifested itself in me. Her love lives in me every day.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
Home is the best place to relax and unwind. I love pajamas with a cup of tea and the soothing sound of rain on the roof and windows of the house. It’s like nature’s soundtrack and allows the best background sound for a restful nights sleep.
